On May, 22, 2019, I received my bachelors degree in journalism with a minor in video production. Both of my parents received only a high school diploma. Receiving a degree was a proud and fundamental moment for me,  family and friends, because they personally understood the adversities I faced throughout college; one being losing my mother. Finishing college was living proof for me that although life may knock you down, as long as you continue to get back up, your dreams will be accomplished.
